Three-Star Certification

The results are in, and we are proud to announce that we have been awarded a Three-Star Certification by the State of Tennessee! We were the second community in Tennessee to receive a Three-Star Level III designation. This program is designed as a road map to assist local communities in their effort to achieve excellence in community and economic development.

A Level III award requires 1,500 points, and we accumulated 2,010 out of a possible 2,320 points. We were complimented for our community/county teamwork, in addition to our leadership and organization of information needed for the audit.

We have already started reaping the benefits of this award. It has enhanced our ability to obtain three state grants that we had applied for, and it has reduced the matching funds required by the county by five percentage points.

Thanks again to everyone on the NETWORKS board and our various partners who played a role in helping us achieve this recognition!
